GRS MTD Bridge for VAT
GRS MTD Bridge is a HMRC-recognised Windows desktop application for business users of Pegasus OperaII and Pegasus Opera3. It enables users to view obligations, liabilities and payments, and submit VAT returns to HMRC in compliance with Making Tax Digital for VAT. Using software will allow you to submit VAT Returns directly to HMRC without needing to visit HMRC's website. The software is listed on the HMRC Making Tax Digital Software page under 'Grand Retail Solutions Ltd'.
What is Making Tax Digital For VAT?
Making Tax Digital for VAT is a HMRC service that was introduced in April 2019 to help ensure businesses get their VAT right. Under the new rules, business figures need to be kept digitally and HMRC's online VAT submission interface can no longer be used.
If you record your business figures in Pegasus OperaII or Pegasus Opera3, bridging software, such as GRS MTD Bridge, can be used to submit VAT returns to HMRC.
VAT figures will have been fully reconciled, reported on, and committed in the Pegasus accounting software. The VAT totals are then simply read directly from Opera, and submitted without alteration directly to HMRC by using GRS MTD Bridge as a bridging solution.
